Rudi Kuchta to manage MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Gruppe Bus Sales

New organisation for international Bus Sales

Rudi Kuchta (42) has taken over as head of international Bus Sales for the MAN and NEOPLAN brands. He succeeds Detlef Romberg (62), who will in future be responsible for controlling the sales of Truck and Bus world-wide.

Business economist Kuchta joined bus manufacturer NEOPLAN in 1992 and has filled several managerial positions in the export field. From 1998 on, as head of Export Europe Sales he promoted the expansion of the Sales structure as well as the issue of alternative drive systems. In June 2002, after the MAN fusion, Kuchta moved to the newly-founded NEOMAN bus organisation in France as its managing director and expanded the business there with both the MAN and NEOPLAN brands. During this period, MAN and NEOPLAN were able to increase their share of the market from 3.7 to over ten percent.

At the end of 2008 Kuchta returned to Munich and the MAN Head Office, where he took over the "Business Management Bus" division, with responsibility for controlling the eleven international, decentrally organised Sales Regions. With effect from March 1, 2009 Kuchta took over as head of the international Sales Department Bus (SDB) in Munich.

We have consolidated the world-wide sales activities here under one roof and are putting all our efforts into further strengthening both brands on the markets. I intend to promote this approach rigorously with a forceful, experienced team, so that we live up to the motto 'Our plus: the bus'" says Kuchta about his new challenge. In his department he will be assisted by the departments Key Account Management Bus (manager: Freiherr Franz von Redwitz), Sales Engineering Bus (manager: Filipe Rodrigues) and Tender Management Bus (manager: Martin Strier).
