The new Irisbus Proxys and Proway

Irisbus Iveco will unveil the new version of its Proway interurban and Proxys touring models at the Autotec International Motor Show in Brno, Czech Republic (3 - 8 June 2008).

Though these two vehicles have different vocations, they share a common aesthetic. Proxys and Proway are a perfect reflection of all the brand’s vehicles – a successful combination of sleek lines and a highly contemporary design.

These models can accommodate between 28 to 36 passengers, offering exceptional comfort. The driver benefits from an optimised working environment thanks to a spacious and ergonomically-designed compartment.

The vehicles are equipped with the same reliable engine types, a 160 kW (217 ch) Tector 6 litres Euro 5 positioned over the front axle, and a fully pneumatic suspension system. Proxys has added comfort features: vast side windows, reclining seats, air-conditioning, overhead luggage racks with integrated individual lighting and ventilation units, rear and side luggage holds with a capacity of 4.1 cubic metres, forward and central access doors.

For the Proway, the second door can be positioned in the rear to allow for the installation of a lift ramp for transporting people in wheelchairs.

Both vehicles are available in two lengths: 7.75 m. and 8.45 m.
